Dr. Martha Cortés and Dr. Pamela Bassett are certified Performance Mouthguards Dentists. If you are a candidate for the Performance Mouthguards, impressions will be taken of your lower and upper teeth and your optimal bite will be determined during your first appointment (approximately one to two hours). Our Dentists will determine the best possible jaw position through computerized tracking of your jaw. They will use a TENS (Transcutaneous Electro Neural Stimulation) machine to help relax your muscles, putting them into their most comfortable position.
After Sports Performance Mouthguards are fabricated in our lab (approximately one week); your Performance Mouthguards will be fitted during a second visit with Dr. Martha Cortés or Dr. Pamela Bassett (only five to ten minutes).
